Head of Training, Social Welfare Integrated Projects Initiative (SWIPi)

EMMA-JAYNE EKONG is the Head of Training at Social Welfare Integrated Projects Initiative (SWIPi) responsible for identifying gaps in the service delivery of caregivers and social workers who work directly with children in orphanages, special needs homes and elders in our elderly care facilities. Her duties involve setting up free training programs to meet the identified needs thereby, ensuring better service and standardized care in all care homes across Lagos State.

She is driven by her passion for humanitarian service which  led to her becoming a State Patron of the Boy's Brigade of Nigeria, 1st Calabar Municipal Company, Cross River State. In that position, she has been involved in several capacity building projects impacting the lives of many communities.

Emma-jayne, born on the 31st of January, 1970, is an alumnus of the Department of Architecture, University of Lagos and the Department of Corporate Administration, Nigerian College of Administration. She spent her previous working years as Project Manager at Atlantic Ventures Ltd. and also Sets, Stage and Costume Design Director at Silverbird Productions with auxiliary responsibilities in audio-visual production.

Her versatility and interests in promoting skills acquisition as a life long tool for sustenance brought to birth her fashion school where she focuses on teaching dress making,  fashion illustration and pattern construction with a bias for the African woman. Emma is a seasoned dressmaker with a keen eye for perfect fits and details.

Emma-jayne believes in excelling through meticulous hard work while encouraging team work to achieve set organizational goals. Her focus is to encourage youth enterpreneurial capacity and to encourage women especially as the foundation of overall stability for the future of our children.

She is happily married with three children and her hobbies include photography, dance and she has interests in auto mechanics and extreme automobiles.
